About SisterSTART® Women’s Business Plan Bootcamps
SisterSTART® is a 12-module business plan incubator bootcamp serving early-stage women entrepreneurs in the idea or startup phase. The program demystifies the business planning process, supporting aspiring women founders to put their ideas into action. The incubator covers each essential section of every good business plan and is available for digital, hybrid or in-person delivery.
Unlike traditional business plan methods, the SisterSTART® incubator acts as a creative ideation studio where early-stage women founders are encouraged to organize, articulate, and clarify their business ideas. Structured programming guides participants through each section of their coursework, resulting in the completion of their own visual business plan blueprint.
The course curriculum and student interface is fun, colorful, and creative, creating a more accessible, (and less intimidating), environment appealing to a wide diversity of women founders. Coursework prepares students for further engagement with other programs, services, and events provided by host organizations, growing local entrepreneurship ecosystems community-wide.
Throughout the incubator process, participants explore their ideas, create their visions, and do their homework, ultimately uncovering what it really takes to build, launch, and grow their own small business. With the added feedback from advisors, learning peers, and guest speakers, students move ever closer to making their business dreams a lifestyle reality.
